Campus Tree Tour 2008

More Information About the Campus Tree Tour 2008

Applications will be considered from the following entities:

  1. An organized, certified or recognized group with campus.
  2. Staff or faculty of school named in this application.
  3. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is a partner with the campus.

These tree-planting events are an opportunity to introduce young adults and other community members to the many benefits of community trees.

One of our goals for each event will be to coordinate the plantings with community leaders and specifically the city forester, city arborist or similar community representative to ensure that each planting is appropriate for the conditions and region.

If your application is selected to be part of the Campus Tree Tour 2008 National Campaign you will receive:

  • Up to 100 new trees for your campus grounds.
  • A service learning project for all campus students.
  • Professional assistance and guidance with the planting of the new trees.
  • The chance to be part of a nation-wide tree planting campaign.
  • Positive publicity for your campus.
  • Opportunity for campus students and community representatives to work together on an environmental project.
